External & Internal Mechanic User Permissions

External & Internal Mechanic User Permissions

Overview

Gearbox has 2 types of Mechanic user to cater for Internal and External service providers. Internal Mechanic users have access to vehicle information and history, may create and complete Service, Repair, Tyre and Inspection Jobcards (Printed or eJobcards), add Parts, Labour and Documents to Workorders. Both Mechanic users (internal & external) do not have authority to delete data or close out a Workorder.

Internal Mechanics (In-house Mechanics)

The internal mechanic is provided for in-house or highly trusted mechanics that need visibility across all vehicles, their history and work order information.
Access can be further restricted to divisions or locations using Group and Subgroup user filters.
