Overview
Within the Gearbox Maintenance module you can handle tyre-related work orders for your assets. Whether tracking kilometers between changes, logging punctures, or managing rotations and new tyre installations, the Tyres section simplifies the process for optimal fleet performance and safety.
Tyres Dashboard
The Tyres dashboard will display the following summary information for Tyres:
Open Tyres | All Tyre jobs that are not closed |
Monitored | Total number of Tyre jobs that have Tyre Status set to Monitored |
Important | Total number of Tyre jobs that have Priority set to Important |
Urgent | Total number of Tyre jobs that have Priority set to Urgent |
Deferred | Total number of Tyre jobs that have Tyre Status set to Deferred |
7 Days | Total number of Tyre jobs that Date Report that is 7 days or more from the current date |
14 Days | Total number of Tyre jobs that Date Report that is 14 days or more from the current date |

Clicking on a Red or Orange number will load the details of the respective screen.

Actioning a Tyre Fault Report
1. Navigate to Repairs (1), then select Fault Reports (2)
2. Select the Fault Report (3)
3. Select the Tyres Tab (4). You can link the fault report to an existing Tyre Item that has been created or you can click on New Tyre (5)
4. After selecting 'New Tyre' (5), a Tyre work order will be created. Proceed to fill in the required information in the designated boxes (6-10) to gather additional details. Additionally, complete the Tyregram (12) to visually indicate which tyres were affected, simplifying the identification process. Gearbox will retrieve data from the Prestart and automatically populate the Driver/Operation Report (11). For example, it will include the reason for the Fault Report, such as 'Worn,' and attach the question marked as 'Fail' in the Prestart, such as 'Check all tyres for tread, damage & inflation - including spares.'
6. Once completed, fill in the Date Closed (15) and set the Tyre Status to Closed (16), then click Save and Close (17)
Create New Tyre Manually
1. Click on Parts (1), Select Add New (2)
2. Select 'Vehicle' (3) and 'Date Reported' (4). The remaining fields are optional. Finally, Select Save and Continue (5).
3. Select Add Item.
4. Input Tyre Type (6), Repairer (7), Assigned to (8), Priority (9).
Gearbox provides an easy-to-use Tyregram feature, visually indicating affected tires, which simplifies the identification process.
6. Enter in any Additional repairer notes or documents and select Save and Continue.
7. Select Add Parts to add in any parts you have used from your stock.
