Overview

The purpose of the Starred Notes dashboard is to provide Gearbox users all Service, Repair, and Tyre work orders that contain a Starred Note. The Starred Notes feature allows users to Star or ‘pin’ a note against a work order. This is commonly used in the scenario when the work order has been completed and closed, but invoicing details need to be added once the invoice has been received. You can Star a note for Services, Repairs, and Tyre records.

1. On you admin dashboard click on Admin Snapshot (1) then click on Starred Notes (2)

2. This will then take you to your Starred Notes

How to Star/Pin a Note

The following process can be applied for a Service, Repair, Tyres and Inspections via the Show History button. In this example we will be starring a note in Services. 

1. By clicking on an existing Service scroll down to the bottom and click on Show History (1)

2. From here you can Add Notes (3) or Star Notes (4) by clicking on the Star of existing notes in Gearbox. These notes will now show up on your Starred Notes Dashboard

Where to Locate How to Star Notes 

Certain work orders will have their Show History in different locations, see below.

Services 
Once you have clicked on the Service scroll down to the bottom and you will see Show History located at the bottom of the page in the middle

Repairs
Once you have clicked on the Repair click on More Information then click on Show History

Once you have clicked on the Tyre click on More Information then click on Show History
