Mercedes Benz integration
Overview
Gearbox connects with Mercedes Benz nightly to collect mileage and hour readings to update services
due and calculate running costs. Meter readings imported will appear
under the Odometer tab for a vehicle. Vehicles are connected using the Gearbox and Mercedes Benz VIN number. If the VIN Numbers do not match exactly the readings will not being imported.
Enabling the integration on Gearbox
Only Gearbox users with Admin access to the Settings area will be able to access the integration settings.
1. Click on your User Icon (1) then click on Settings (2)
2. On the left hand side of your screen scroll down and click on Integrations (3)
3. Scroll down until you find Mercedes Benz Integration, enter in the Username (4) and Password (5) given to you by Mercedes Benz and tick the Integrate Mercedes Benz API (6) then click Save (7) then click Get Readings (8) for Gearbox to manually fetch vehicle readings from Mercedes.
4. Once enabled Mercedes Benz readings will appear under the Odometer area of the Maintenance module, and under the Odometer tab when viewing a vehicle.
