Import Fuel Data from Excel

Import Fuel Data from Excel

Overview
Gearbox supports the import of fuel data manually. The preferred format for importing fuel data is an .xlsx file, commonly used with Excel. Additionally, .csv files are also supported.

Setting up Fuel Suppliers

We recommend setting up your fuel suppliers within Repairers section of Gearbox.

Importing Fuel Data

1. On the left-hand side of the screen, select Fuel (1)

2. Select the Import button (2)

If your fuel file is not in the correct format as demonstrated on the page, please download the XLSX template provided. Copy your fuel data into this template and then attempt uploading again. If the imported data does not match the template, no fuel data will be imported.
You may have multiple supplier entries that are best suited to be consolidated into a single supplier. For instance, entries such as BP Campbelltown, BP Gosford, and BP Luddenham could be better entered under 'BP' only. This is because only data with a matching supplier will be imported into Gearbox.

Importing via CSV

3. Download the XLSX Template (3) and input any required data.
Note: You can leave the supplier field blank in the Fuel Import Template and use the Nominate Supplier function if all fuel data entries are from the same supplier.

4. Click the blue Select File to Import button (4) and choose your fuel file from your local device. If required, nominate a supplier (5), then click the green Import button (6). You will receive a pop-up notification indicating that the file has been received and is being imported

Importing via Email

1. Additionally, CSV files can be imported via Email. To do this, use the Gearbox email address (7) provided for importing files. Upon completion of the import process, Gearbox will send you an email to confirm whether it was successful or not.
