Overview
Gearbox allows you to enable Two Factor Authentication (2FA) on your Gearbox account using the Microsoft, Google or other Authenticator apps for additional security of your account.

If you have a preferred Authenticator application or do not wish to use the Microsoft Authenticator app, please skip to Step 2

When Two Factor Authentication (2FA) is applied to a Gearbox Account, It will apply to ALL users.
Install Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone
Once Gearbox Support has confirmed that 2-Factor Authentication has been enabled on your account, please follow the below steps.
Android Devices, search for Microsoft Authenticator in the Play Store, install the app to your device
iOS (Apple) Devices search for Microsoft Authenticator in the App Store, install the app to your device
Once the app is installed, load the app to make sure you are able to add an account.
Connect your Gearbox account to your Authenticator App
Once you have installed Microsoft Authenticator on your device (or your preferred authenticator app), you will need to log into Gearbox in your browser.
1. Open your browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari) and navigate to
https://www.gearbox.com.au - sign into your account using your Gearbox account information.

2. Scan the QR Code using your choice of Authenticator App

3. Once the Authenticator App has paired with Gearbox, you will be asked to save your recovery codes for multi-factor authentication. Please save these somewhere safe.
