Alternate Part Numbers

Overview

Gearbox allows Parts entered into the system to have an Alternate Part Number. This assists with OEM and aftermarket part numbers.

Alternate Part Number Settings

1. Click on the User Icon (1), click on Settings (2)
Enable Alternate Part Numbers (Settings) - Admin Dashboard


3. Click on System Parameters (3) then Search (4) ALTERNATE_PART_NUM. You can then change the Value (5) to display or hide alternate part numbers

Configuring Alternate Part Numbers

Within the Part record next to the Part Number field, the Alternate Part Number field will be displayed.
