Gearbox Updates 21/09/23

The enhancements and bug fix listed below will be released over the course of this week. Please note screenshot samples may vary from final implementation.

Enhancements

1. Part import - Part records can now be updated in bulk via the part import function. Matches are found based on the part number or alternative part number (please note the formatting must exactly match the existing part number or a new part will be created).

2. Prestart N/A option - You can now choose to hide the N/A option for selected prestart questions. This is configured on a question-by-question basis in Gearbox - click the blue "Edit" button next to the prestart question and tick the box to hide N/A option before saving.

3. Emailing risk assessments - We have added the option for users to email risk assessments to themselves. Clicking the blue "Reports" button in the top right of the screen now shows two options - to print the risk assessment or email it to yourself.

4. Employee number - Many tables in Gearbox displayed employees' full names but not their employee number, which made it hard to identify employees with the same name. Employee numbers have been added to the following views:
  • Employee reminders tables
  • Medicals tables
  • Diary pages tables
  • Equipment issues table
  • Accidents/Events tables
As well as to the following reports:
  • Open Employee Reminders (XLSX and PDF)
  • Open/Closed Medicals (XLSX and PDF)
  • All Diary Pages (XLSX and PDF)
  • All Equipment Issues (XLSX and PDF)
  • Prestart Register (XLSX only)
5. PO audit trail - An audit log is now created for any work order that generates a purchase order. The audit trail can be seen by clicking the "Show History" button on a work order.

Bug Fix

1. Fit for Duty - These checklists now cannot be deleted if there are any associated records. We also record the text of all Fit for Duty questions when the checklist is completed, so that if the question gets modified in the future, it doesn't change all existing Fit for Duty records.
