Gearbox Updates 04/09/23

The bug fixes listed below will be released over the course of this week.

Bug Fixes

1. Slow documents loading - A date filter has been added to the Unprocessed and Processed Documents tables so that they load faster for businesses with a large volume of data.

2. My Assigned Work Orders - The search bar has been re-added to this dashboard to make it easier to find a specific job.

3. Date filter - The date filter did not allow users to select the same start and end date to see records for only one day.

4. Vehicle parts list - When exporting a vehicle's service parts list as a PDF or CSV, the service interval columns were blank instead of showing a tick symbol in the applicable columns.

5. Used parts reports - The BIN #/Location column was not displaying information for all used parts reports. Also, the Used Parts by Invoice Date and Used Parts by Closed Date reports were displaying the supplier of the actual part (which often doesn't have a supplier, so it ends up empty), rather than the supplier of the repair item part, tyre item part or service item part.

6. Purchase orders on mobile devices - When using Gearbox in landscape on a mobile device, users were unable to scroll down far enough to tick the "Ready to export" option. This bug has been fixed so that the full purchase order form is accessible on smaller screen sizes.

7. Searching for "Mark" - When entering "Mark" into the search bar in the Employee module, irrelevant records were being displayed due to code containing the word "mark" in it.

8. Duplicate eJobcards - Clicking the "Start eJobcard" button multiple times whilst the ejobcard loaded was creating multiple ejobcards.

9. Prestart register - When a prestart was marked as "Not Used", it was incorrectly listed on the Prestart register as incomplete.

10. Labour date format - The "Labour time finish" field was displaying date in MM/DD/YYYY format for some users.

11. Used Parts Register - by Invoice Date - The invoice date field on this report was using the invoice date of the service, repair or tyre record rather than the part's invoice date.

12. Ejobcard sign off - Users with Internal Mechanic permissions for Maintenance and higher than read-only permissions for any other module were able to sign off an eJobcard as a manager.

13. Purchase order date - When generating a PO from a job, the PO date was set as the open date of the job instead of the PO creation date.

14. Duplicate prestart numbers - This bug was occurring when an Android and iOS device both had pending prestarts and the users hit the sync button at the same time. The issue has been fixed so that unique prestart numbers are always created.

15. Labour time finish - This field was displaying time incorrectly for users who did not have a timezone set. To fix this issue, a default date and time will now be pulled from the user's internet browser. This default can be overrode if required.
