Gearbox Updates 04/03/24

The following enhancements and bug fixes will be released over the course of this week. Please note screenshot samples may vary from final implementation.

Enhancements

1. Employee import - A column for the "flag fault reports as fixed" option has been added to the employee import template. This column must contain either True or False, defaulting to False if left empty.

2. Service groups - An audit trail has been added so that users can view changes made to service groups, similarly to how changes are viewed for vehicles and service records. To view a service group audit trail, click the "Show History" button at the bottom of the Edit Service Group form (the screen where service intervals are edited).

3. Archiving checklists - Prestart checklists can now be archived if they are no longer being used. To archive a checklist, go to Settings > Prestarts > Edit Checklist, tick the box under "Archive Checklist" then save and close. If there are vehicles still assigned to the checklist, a popup will appear asking you to assign them to a new checklist.

4. Geotab integration - A number of customers reported that they were unable to authenticate with Geotab, due to the system storing old session ID. We have added a "Clear Session" button in Settings > Integrations > Geotab to clear the session ID and force reauthentication so that the integration works correctly.

5. Form collision - Issues with data being overwritten were occurring when multiple users edited the same form at the same time. Now if a user attempts to save a record that has been updated by someone else, a notification will appear stating that another user has edited the record and their changes cannot be saved.

Bug Fixes

1. Vehicle import - If the asset owner column did not have data in it that matched the current vehicle owner, the data was being overwritten during the import.

2. Geotab integration - Companies based in the US with the Geotab integration enabled were having their odometer readings converted to metres instead of showing in miles.

3. Prestart web - Fault reports created in Prestart (web version) were not triggering the vehicle status to be updated.
